University of Montana Marketing Management Class (BMKT 480) Offering Marketing Plan Development to Montana Businesses and Nonprofit Organizations

At the beginning of each semester, student teams in the Marketing Management classes are assigned marketing plan projects that have been requested from businesses and nonprofit organizations in our community.

If you know of a business or organization that needs to have a marketing plan developed this semester, please have them contact me as soon as possible. We try to have the marketing plan assignments completed in the first week or two of the semester. Marketing plan projects cost $250 for nonprofit organizations and local/state agencies, and $500 for businesses and for-profit organizations. The project fees will cover the expenses associated with marketing plan projects, travel, copying, long distance phone calls, marketing student club activities and the like. No funds are used for direct payments to students or supervising faculty member(s) for doing the marketing plans. One caveat to remember is that the students are given the option to pick which plans they want to work on in their teams so not all marketing plan requests are fulfilled. We have not had great results when we assigned projects to student teams that they did not want to work on. The marketing plan requests and how well the information regarding such requests is put together by the organization can influence whether a marketing plan is selected by student teams or not.

Please have interested businesses and organizations contact me via email with their requests.

I appreciate your help.

Kind regards,

Nader Shooshtari
