Idaho Career Opportunity – GIS Technician – City of McCall

The City of McCall is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time GIS Technician
position.

Selected individual will perform a variety of projects to further the development
of the GIS including but not limited to build and maintain greater McCall area Parcel
Fabric, build and Maintain Spatial Networks for Public Works (Water, Sewer, and Storm),
operate a GPS unit and download / integrate data into the GIS. Conduct site visits,
collect field data, verify site data for editing. Coordinate with other City departments on
projects. GPS field data collection skills required.
Acceptable Experience and Training:

* Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems or closely
related field required; and,

* Two (2) years previous field mapping work and knowledge of the community
is preferred; OR,

* Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the
knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Special Qualifications:

* Valid state driver’s license.

Salary and Benefits: Starting wage is $17.78 to $18.84 per hour. Salary will be
determined at time of a conditional offer and will be based on applicant’s education,
qualifications, and prior and/or related experience in a GIS or related field. An excellent
benefits package is also offered including the Public Employees Retirement System of
Idaho (PERSI), eligibility to enroll in medical, dental and vision benefits, and paid
vacation and sick leave.
