Booming student population pushes need for Missoula County Public Schools long-range facilities plan

Over the next four years, Missoula County Public Schools http://www.mcpsmt.org is expected to boom with an additional 200-some elementary students.
In the next 10 to 15 years, schools throughout the K-12 system are on track for even more overcrowding in its existing buildings.
By 2017-18, the district will be absorbing an additional 100 middle-school students and nearly 30 high-school students, according to MCPS and census data. Looking ahead to 2023-24, MCPS’ current K-12 enrollment of 8,632 is expected to grow by more than 890 students.
