Facebook Exec Says Data Analysis Had ‘Huge Impact’ on Mobile Revenue

The dramatic growth of Facebook Inc.’s mobile advertising business owes a lot to the company’s use of Big Data, according to Facebook analytics chief Ken Rudin.
"Data analysis was at the core of the optimization of the mobile advertising algorithms. Data analysis had a huge impact on the development of mobile advertising," he said. "I am not sure we would have had the nerve to throw ads into the news feed without it."
