CEO of Mineral Community Hospital in Superior resigns

Steve Carty’s five-year tenure as head of Mineral Community Hospital http://www.mineralcommunityhospital.com/ in Superior is over.

Carty tendered his resignation as chief executive officer on Oct. 4, the day he was placed on administrative leave for reasons the hospital still won’t reveal.

Deb Green, business manager and spokeswoman for the hospital’s executive team, said Carty’s resignation couldn’t be announced to staff members until last Thursday.

The hospital board is in the process of interviewing for an interim CEO and plans to search for a permanent CEO.
