Farmers Insurance program gives a shout-out to teachers
Thanks Campaign will award $25,000 in grants this fall
A simple thank you can make a teacher’s day, notes Tom Pedersen, a science teacher at Capital High and former Montana Teacher of the Year winner.
"It doesn’t take a whole lot to get a teacher feeling warm and fuzzy," he said. "We’re pretty easy to please that way."
Saying thanks this month could also land your favorite teacher $2,500 to spend on classroom equipment and supplies or professional development.
Pedersen was joined in the school’s library by Gov. Steve Bullock and representatives from Farmers Insurance on Tuesday as the company announced a program that encourages Montanans to post an online "thank you" to their favorite teachers.
