UN Climate Experts Stress Solidity of New Report Report states with more confidence than its previous assessments that global warming is mostly man-made

Seeking to dispel any doubts over the credibility of their work, U.N. climate experts called their latest report an unbiased and reliable assessment of global warming as they presented it Monday to officials from 110 governments for a final review.

The landmark report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is expected to state with more confidence than its previous four assessments that global warming is mostly man-made.

It’s also going to provide updated observations and projections of the changes happening in the climate system, from the melting of Arctic sea ice to the warming and acidification of oceans.

Voters: Stop Electing Global-Warming Deniers

There are a variety of things Americans can do in their personal lives to reduce the size of their carbon footprint. Using less fossil-fuel energy, buying or leasing a solar system for a residence, purchasing green energy credits to offset personal carbon emissions, are all examples of personal action to reduce the emissions responsible for global warming. But I think the single biggest issue we have in this country regarding global warming is a political one. There is a definite unwillingness by many of our political leaders and public officeholders to publicly acknowledge that global warming exists, or if it does exist, that it is caused by human activity.
