Ambassadors tour Wheat Montana with Sen.Baucus

Welcome to MEDA: Leadership Dedicated to Building Montana's Economy

Several foreign ambassadors are in the Treasure State for the 6th Annual Montana Economic Development Summit, which kicks off on Monday in Butte.

Before the event, U.S. Sen. Max Baucus is taking the group around Montana to look at different commodities and discuss trade.

Sen. Baucus and the ambassadors were at Wheat Montana on Sunday to get a first-hand look at the products of Montana’s high quality grain and how they are produced.
Wheat Montana is one of the major wheat producers in the state.

Montana farmers produce 150 million bushels of wheat a year, with 80 percent going to Asian buyers.
