Hatton Littman is the new Director of Technology and Communications at Missoula County Public Schools

When Missoula County Public Schools advertised for the district’s newly created director of technology and communications position in July, the job posting was four pages long filled with wide-ranging criteria.

So all-encompassing was the job description, Steve McHugh, the district’s human resources director, worried it would take a superhero to qualify for the job – someone with the diverse background needed to juggle all the disparate pieces that come with the title.

To McHugh’s delight, dozens of people applied for the position and among the large applicant pool, seven highly qualified finalists were chosen to be interviewed.

In the end, a panel that included a student, the district’s top administrators, business leaders and members of the community chose Hatton Littman of Missoula for the job.
