This month they were treated to a dynamic discussion with Angel investor Bill Payne http://www.billpayne.com . Bill brought his experience of 30 years as a successful investor down from the Flathead to meet with folks from the 5 Valleys to discuss the nature of Angel investing and how they can benefit from the expertise, funding and connections that Angel investors bring to companies.

The discussion ran from the different kinds of Angel investors and their motives to invest to how they form groups to combine their resources to invest in companies that have high growth potential. Bill has been involved in over 60 investments, has consulted with foreign governments interested in developing Angel networks and helped form 4 Angel groups including the Frontier Angels http://www.frontierangels.com/ in Polson, Montana. They saw the need for a way for entrepreneurs, business professionals and educators to meet regularly to promote their own efforts while also learning about what everyone else is doing in one of the top 25 entrepreneurial communities in the United States. http://www.matr.net/article-56973.html
