Montana colleges could be forced to change as feds demand higher graduation rates

President Barack Obama’s administration is already threatening to turn off the spigot of student loan dollars to for-profit colleges that fail to graduate students and get them jobs, and an education expert said Thursday in Bozeman that nonprofit colleges, like Montana’s, are likely to be targeted next.
Peter Lake, a Harvard law graduate and law professor at Stetson University in Florida, spoke to about 85 deans, campus police, financial aid and student health officials from all over the state who gathered at Montana State University.
