Missoula City Council adopts online privacy ordinance for workers

Your boss can’t legally ask you for your Facebook password, generally speaking.
On Monday in a unanimous vote, the Missoula City Council preliminarily adopted an online privacy ordinance to protect employees from having to divulge private passwords to online accounts. The council will take up final adoption on Aug. 5.
At the public hearing, the proposal drew many supporters, but one member of the public raised a concern.
