1) PPL Montana dedicated the $245 million Rainbow Dam upgrade. The 60 MW project generates enough power for 45,000 homes.

2) Northwestern Energy and Compass Wind dedicated the $86 million Spion Kop wind farm. The 40 MW project is operating at a 48% capacity factor, significantly above average for wind farms across North America.

3) The EPA issued the draft barley lifecycle greenhouse gas analysis for the Montana Advanced Biofuels project. The analysis verifies that the proposed Great Falls vital wheat gluten, animal feed and ethanol plant will produce Advanced Biofuel which sells at a price premium over corn ethanol. Thank you to Senator Baucus and Senator Tester for prodding EPA to get its analysis done!
