Commission likes utility building plan for NorthWestern Energy
July 10, 2013 /
The proposed NorthWestern Energy http://www.northwesternenergy.com/ building will be energy efficient and feature details consistent with historic Uptown Butte, its designer told the historic preservation commission Tuesday.
Ben Tintinger with Helena-based Mosaic Architecture went over plans for the 100,000-square-foot, five-story building proposed for Park and Main, the site of the Heritage Plaza parking lot.
The plans include a basement gym and a rooftop patio with green space, and interpretations of historic architecture like cornices and a stairwell visible from the outside, reminiscent of the fire escapes prevalent Uptown, Tintinger said.
