EPA Drops Fracking Studies across U.S.

After a blockbuster draft report on the impact of fracking in Wyoming, the Environmental Protection Agency has dropped the study. With political pressure mounting from Congress and the energy industry, the action mirrors similar EPA retreats around the country.

Now the EPA will instead hand the study over to the state of Wyoming, whose research will be funded by EnCana, the very drilling company whose wells may have caused the contamination.
