Idaho Department of Education requests bids on Wi-Fi for high schools

The Idaho State Department of Education has issued a request for proposals to provide high-speed wireless Internet access at public high schools.

Proposals will be accepted until June 28. ISDE anticipates awarding a bid before the next school year.

Through Senate Bill 1200, legislators provided $2.25 million to provide every public high school with wireless connectivity. Most public high schools already are connected to high-speed broadband intranet access through the Idaho Education Network.
