Bozeman High senior projects: Learning and making a difference

For her senior project, Bozeman High School student Madi Nason did research on Haiti and discovered that cholera has become a major concern in the poverty-stricken nation, which never recovered from the 2010 earthquake.

Nason ended up organizing a benefit concert with student singers and guitarists that raised $1,500 for a health clinic run by the nonprofit Real Hope for Haiti.

"I learned a lot," Nason said. "People have stopped giving to Haiti because they think everything is done. That’s not true."

Nason is one of about 300 Bozeman High students who created senior projects this year.
