Great Falls video-game developers Add-A-Tudez Entertainment Co. making progress on ‘Burst’

Add-A-Tudez Entertainment Co. http://teamkaizengames.com/ , the Great Falls video-game development company established by Josh and Trevor Hughes, showed the public Thursday their latest build of "Burst," the rhythm-based 3-D game.

About a dozen people attended the event, which was held at the O’Haire Motor Inn. The Hughes hope to release the game later this year.

After receiving feedback about problems with the previous build, the new version offers a drastic change in gameplay that makes the fireworks explosions a more integral part of the experience. It also offers a 3-D rotation over a depiction of the 10th Street Bridge lit up at night as a reward for successful gameplay.

Hello everyone! Josh from Team KAIZEN here, how are you? We’re doing great coming off of last night’s presentation with Montana Programmers where we showed off the new build of Burst!. In this build, we took into account the feedback we were getting and made some pretty drastic changes to the game as a result! In the talk we gave last night, we don’t just cover the new version but also show the prototypes (including the Flash 2D prototype) that led up to this new version!

Video of last night’s reveal and talk on game design:

We’re still not firm on what platform we’re aiming for yet (we’re developing in Unity on PC right now). However, that caveat said, Sony and Unity have announced a partnership that will allow Unity developed titles to be exported for PlayStation Mobile (a program that targets high end Android phones/tablets as well as the PlayStation Vita handheld) later this year, and we’re definitely keeping our eyes on that as a potential venue to release Burst!. In the mean time, we’ll keep you updated as we solidify the rest of our 2013 plans including times/places where people in the public can try out Burst!.

Thanks everyone!

Josh Hughes
