University of Portland students will compete for $100,000 in annual business plan competition

University of Portland students will compete Saturday for $100,000 in the school’s annual business plan competition, the $100K Challenge.

The cash and in-kind investment for finalists in the for-profit track is made by the Launch Pad Fund http://www.up.edu/cfe/default.aspx?cid=5693&pid=122 , a UP angel investment pool comprised of alumni donors. Finalists will have up to nine months to finalize their plan and form a venture, to qualify for the $100,000 prize. Those competing in the non-profit track will be eligible for a $2,500 grant and professional services award.
