Montana Career Opportunity – Oracle Instructor – The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning at UM

The School of Extended & Lifelong Learning at UM http://www.umt.edu/ce/ wants to begin offering some technical certification courses. The first will be Oracle, and we’re looking for an instructor. I don’t have an actual job posting yet, since I really don’t know the details in terms of work hours, etc. This is what I received from Oracle:

These are the skills/experience required from a potential instructor to teach Oracle classes.

* College degree (B.A., B.S.) – computer-science-related field preferred but not essential

* A minimum of two years industry work experience is preferred.

* Excellent Presentation skills

* Previous teaching experience is preferred.

* Experience as an Oracle Database Administrator and/or Developer (SQL, PL/SQL) is required.

* Experience in Java programming preferred.

* Experience in Web Development technologies preferred, e.g. XML, XHTML, XSL/XSLT, CSS, Content Management Systems, Ajax, PHP, Python, etc.

* Web page design and usability experience preferred.

* Web server administration experience preferred.

* Course and curriculum development, teaching innovation and experience with adult learning preferred.

* Knowledge of and ability to use technology to support instruction.

* Experience with live virtual training preferred.
