Wyoming Career Opportunity – Information Specialist – University of Wyoming

Prepares detailed and thorough market research and analysis reports for a variety of Wyoming businesses. This process involves discussion of the client’s needs with either the client or an economic development professional and selection and use of appropriate complex and sophisticated databases, GIS, demographic, psychographic and research tools. Based on the information found, summarizes data in an easy-to-read and understand report that assists businesses in making key strategic and tactical decisions. Research is accomplished in a timely and professional fashion.

Assists in the creation, administration, and analysis of client satisfaction surveys for the Wyoming Entrepreneur Market Research Center, Small Business Development Center, and Procurement Technical Assistance Center. Also assists organization or network clients in the creation and analysis of surveys to be given to their customers.

Participates in various other responsibilities for the network including serving on committees, assisting with event coordination, representing the organization at events and conferences, writing "BizTips", receiving professional development/training to enhance specialty skills such as survey design or graphic design, providing support services for webinar facilitation, etc.

Conducts administrative duties such as reviewing reports for other researchers, evaluating and discussing information resource options for budget purposes, participating in and/or facilitating staff meetings, logging hours into various databases for reporting to partners, creating content for special projects like webinars, social media/blog posts, and various training/educational opportunities for clients.
