Student Assistance Foundation competing for grant

The Student Assistance Foundation’s http://www.safmt.org/ "A Step Ahead" program is in the running for a $25,000 grant.

The College Prep Camp for foster youth is one of 200 causes from across the nation competing as a finalist in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program.

The program allows foster youth to see what it’s like to attend a college in Montana.

"They get to take some mini-classes to see what college life is really like. Best of all each one of them leaves with a laptop computer that is theirs to keep and use for their post secondary education," explained SAF VP Student Activities coordinator Kelly Cresswell.
