MAPS (Media Arts in the Public Schools) Media Institute named April’s nonprofit of the month

MAPS Media Institute http://www.mediarts.org/ continues to grow its reputation after being named April nonprofit of the month by two organizations.

And it’s headed to the top of the list for a potential State Farm Insurance grant of $25,000.

MAPS founder and president Peter Rosten said the group continues to create and produce national, statewide and local projects through its nonprofit after-school program for Ravalli County high school students.

Recently, a Rapid City, S.D., organization – Blue Sky Funding Group – named MAPS its April nonprofit of the month. Blue Sky Funding Group provides both donors and service agencies a conduit for effective communications.

"It has broadened our reach," Rosten said.

In addition, Missoula’s Cherry Creek Radio named MAPS its April nonprofit of the month.
