Montana tourism office keeps up with shift in media, sees big influx in travelers

The way — and amount — Big Sky Country markets itself to potential visitors has changed a lot in 25 years.

$150,000 to go to MT online tourism marketing

Montana communities will be receiving commerce funds for online tourism marketing.

The Montana Department of Commerce is providing $150,000, by way of the Montana Office of Tourism’s E-marketing Technology Grant Program, to go toward projects in 8 Montana communities.

The Southwest Montana E-Tourism Project in Helena will get more than $31,000 of that money. Montana Office of Tourism Administrator Jeri Duran says much of tourism advertising revolves around the digital world.
