DOT may end air service to Lewistown, Miles City, Montana

Federal transportation officials are considering ending air service to Miles City and Lewistown under the Essential Air Service program.

The Department of Transportation sent out notice March 28 that it may allow Silver Airways to suspend to the federally subsidized service to the eastern Montana communities.

The Miles City Star reports the 20-day comment period goes until April 17.
