Cheap broadband offered to 100 million underprivileged

Connect2Compete, the non-profit organization behind the national campaign to boost digital literacy among the underprivileged, has launched a new promotion to get 100 million "offline" Americans into the Internet age.

One hundred million is roughly the number of citizens who do not have a broadband connection at home, including 62 million do not use the Internet at all. A new national public awareness campaign, dubbed "EveryoneOn," will point people to a wide variety of programs in major U.S. population centers that provide discounted high-speed Internet access and low-cost computers.

Citizens should visit http://www.Connect2Compete.org to access free and low-cost equipment and services.
