Yellowstone in winter is a whole ‘nother Park–one where snowcoaches, snowmobilers and cross-country skiers glide over sparkling landscapes; wildlife sightings multiply against a backdrop of white; and–come spring–bikers take over the freshly plowed roads in a car-free coup.
In February, March and April, Yellowstone sees less than 10% of the visitors that it does in the entirety of July–meaning that now’s the perfect time to have the geysers, bison, waterfalls and fresh air all to yourself.
