Disability Rights Montana –

Disability Rights Montana educates state lawmakers about issues important to people with disabilities, including the funding of community based programs, the defense of constitutional rights, and the protection from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

DRM has a strong presence during each state legislative session to ensure that lawmakers understand the rights, needs, and priorities of people with disabilities, as well as the impact of pending legislation on people with disabilities. We work to promote legislation that supports self-determination, personal autonomy, and self-advocacy, as well as legislation to ensure that people with disabilities have legal protections from abuse and neglect.

Disability Rights Montana is funded through federal protection and advocacy grants, other grants, attorney’s fees, and private donations. Like most non-profit organizations, our resources are often scarce and the demand for our services grows every year. We rely on donations from people like you to continue to provide services to people with disabilities and their families. http://www.disabilityrightsmt.org/janda/donate.php?PageID=9
