Montana Career Opportunity – Information Specialist, Montana Natural Heritage Program – Montana State Library

The Montana Natural Heritage Program (MTNHP) was created by the Montana legislature in 1983 as part of the Natural Resources Information System at the Montana State Library for the purposes of acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data relating to the flora, fauna, and biological community types of Montana (MCA 90-15). The MTNHP is operated by The University of Montana (UM) through a contract with the Montana State Library, which has statutory authority and receives legislative funding for the core program. The MTNHP’s activities are guided by statute (MCA 90-15) and through ongoing interaction with and feedback from, principal data source agencies.
