International Wildlife Film Festival director, Janet Rose on move after 13 years

After 13 years of nurturing Missoula’s International Wildlife Film Festival http://wildlifefilms.wordpress.com/ from an industry standard-setter to a multimedia institution, Janet Rose has decided to move on to new challenges.

"Janet has been the heart and soul of that organization," said Dan Pletscher, director of the University of Montana’s Wildlife Division. "There’s been lots of volunteers, contributors, filmmakers and financial contributions, but Janet was the face of the organization. She had boundless energy – always upbeat, with a smile on her face."

Rose leaves at the end of January to become senior development director at the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium. Before coming to Missoula, she was an investigative journalist and then conservation communications director for the Wildlife Conservation Society in New York.
