The Instructional Technology Support Specialist will build and maintain faculty development structures necessary to provide for successful online teaching and learning and coordinate these activities across MSU and its four campuses, where appropriate. The position will lead, develop and deliver broad-based training in use of online learning processes and resources for faculty, instructional staff and students.

The tools provided by the learning management system (LMS) are used by nearly all students and most faculty to support high standards of teaching and learning, both in the classroom and at a distance. This position is part of a team of Online Education Specialists who share a wide range of duties (roughly 60% of effort); each team member also has his/her own special focus (about 40%). In this case, the special focus is scheduling and leading user training and workshops related to the LMS and online learning.
