Free Family Business Seminar Offered Jan. 7 In Conjunction With Business Days At The Capitol

Montana State University College of Business management instructor Craig Ehlert will present a free seminar, "10 Ideas for Success for Family-Run Businesses," on Monday, Jan. 7, from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Best Western Premier Helena Great Northern Hotel.

The seminar is part of the MSU College of Business’s State Farm Insurance Family Business Program On the Road series. It will be held in conjunction with the Montana Chamber of Commerce’s 13th annual Business Days at the Capitol, set Jan. 7-8 in Helena.

The Business Days at the Capitol program also includes a "State of Business Address" luncheon, a lawmaker appreciation reception and dinner with a keynote address by U.S. Sen. Max Baucus, a breakfast featuring legislative leaders, and a luncheon and keynote presentation by Gov.-elect Steve Bullock. More information, including a full schedule, is available at http://Events.MontanaChamber.com.

The Family Business Program was established in 1994 as an outreach program through the MSU College of Business. It offers education and information to Montana businesses that are owned and managed by families. The program also provides recognition to pioneering and successful family businesses through the Montana Family Business of the Year Awards.

The College of Business introduced the Family Business Program On the Road in 2007 in conjunction with the Business Days at the Capitol. The Montana Chamber Foundation is a sponsor of the Family Business Program, along with State Farm. Additional support is provided by Stockman Bank.
