Mesa Arizona – Leader in Tech-Oriented Job Creation But Striving for More

Mesa may already be among the country’s leaders in terms of tech-oriented job creation, but that isn’t stopping the city from wanting more.

Among U.S. cities of 100,000 or more people, Mesa ranked No.8 for high-tech startups in a survey released this fall by a San Francisco business-counseling service.

That flies in the face of Mesa’s stale reputation as a bedroom community chock-full of trailer parks and Walmarts.

It’s a product of deliberate strategies by City Hall and the business community, as well as happy confluences of climate and geography.
