Great Falls Development Authority working hard to encourage assembly plants to locate around northcentral Montana

There weren’t a lot of hands waving in the air when Bill King, vice president of operations of Yates Construction, asked the crowd of about 100 gathered Tuesday evening at the Choteau Pavilion if they had any questions.

Maybe it’s because the people in Teton County are already aware of what the business of assembling modulars for equipment such as oil pipe racks is about. The Mississippi-based Yates is the second company to announce operations in the area.

"We are the closest U.S. metro area to the Canadian oil sands and that gives us a competitive advantage," said Brett Doney, president of the Great Falls Development Authority http://www.gfdevelopment.org/ .
