University of Montana program to help scientists explain their work to public

There’s no arguing that most scientists do good and important work, the results of which have implications for the future of the human condition and life on Earth.

It’s also fair to say that many scientists, who deal with complex issues, have a difficult time explaining their work in layman’s terms, especially to journalists who cover their scientific endeavors.

And therein lies the problem: If journalists don’t get it, then there’s a good chance the public won’t either.
