$18,500 Boeing grant provides free interactive teaching kits designed to engage Montana students in science, technology, engineering and math.

With a recent grant from the Boeing Corp., area teachers will have improved access to about 40 free interactive teaching kits designed to engage students in science, technology, engineering and math.

Teachers can reserve these kits through ExplorationWorks’ Teacher Resource Center http://www.explorationworks.org/ , located at 995 Carousel Way in the Great Northern Town Center.

"There’s a geology kit here. There’s botany. There are several engineering experiences. It’s a very broad range of science and technology topics," said Ron Boggs, the business development director at ExplorationWorks.

Other kits include an egg incubator, fossil collections, biomes, electronic circuits and a number of other teaching tools in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math — which are often referred to as "STEM."
