Montana Launches New Website (mt.gov) Redesign

Responsive Web Design for Multiple Platforms

Today, the state released a major redesign of the official state website located at http://www.mt.gov. This redesign is built with an emphasis on presenting content on varying mobile devices and browsers. It uses the latest "responsive" web design technology in which a website detects the kind of device being used (such as a Smartphone, tablet, traditional laptop or desktop computer) and presents that device with a suitable content layout.

The new mt.gov website also has an increased emphasis on searching capabilities. This is to make it easier for those using a mobile device like a Smartphone or tablet. It is much easier to search on those devices than navigate a menu structure.
