EXPLORE: Polebridge Mercantile next to Glacier National Park

The Polebridge Mercantile http://www.polebridgemercantile.com/ , tucked up the North Fork and neighboring the west side of Glacier National Park, is in the final week of its 98th year.

The "Merc" is open everyday, except Thanksgiving, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Nov. 25. Visitors can still enjoy the savory pastry items and other baked goods throughout the week.

In order to guarantee there will be enough Huckleberry Bear Claws or other specialty treats and to help staff prepare accordingly, it’s recommended to call 24 hours ahead and place a special order. A menu can be found online at the Mercantile’s Facebook page, or by calling 888-5105.
