Grateful Nation Montana hats at Bob Ward’s and online help raise scholarship money for the children of fallen soldiers

"This is one of those win-wins for everyone."

It was after an elk hunt near Helmville that Tom McGann sat down to supper with two Montanans. The conversation born from that dinner-table discussion may ultimately change the way veterans organizations help children who have lost a parent at war.

McGann, CEO of Spyder Active Sports http://www.spyder.com and a board member of Children of Fallen Patriots http://fallenpatriots.org , has teamed up with Bob Ward’s owner Chad Ward and David Bell, director of Grateful Nation Montana http://www.gratefulnationmontana.com/ , to develop and sell a line of beanies bearing the Grateful Nation logo.

"We’re testing this on Veterans Day with a hat we’ll put in place at Bob Ward’s http://www.bobwards.com/ ," said McGann. "Frankly, it would have been easier to just write a check, but part of this is raising awareness. If it resonates, we’ll expand it for Grateful Nation Montana, and there’s no reason why it has to stay in Montana."
