Web portal showcases Idaho tech jobs

The national shortage of technology workers is near crisis level, and the competition for qualified techies is fierce.

Idaho businesses want to make it easier for job-seekers to see the variety of positions available in the Gem State, as well as the quality of life the state has to offer.

The Labor Department spent more than six months making the site http://labor.idaho.gov/dnn/Default.aspx?alias=labor.idaho.gov/dnn/idl user-friendly. It took longer than expected, in part because the department’s own Web designer and programmers moved on to other jobs.
