36th International Wildlife Film Festival CALL FOR ENTRIES October 1, 2012-January 31, 2013 Late Deadline: February 8

Dear Filmmakers, Friends & Colleagues,

We’re delighted to announce the Call for Entries for the 36th annual, International Wildlife Film Festival. As the first and now longest running wildlife film festival and conservation conference, we focus this coming year on the special places in the world that we might easily refer to as "Edens." These are places like Gorongosa in Mozambique, where a National Park is being brought back to life; or some of the most magnificent underwater ecosystems ever captured on film by our Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, Howard and Michelle Hall. But these are just the beginning of the conservation journey…it is the films, television programs and other types of media that bring millions of viewers into the realm of nature.

It is through these programs, through media, that we can have an impact, make a difference, and sometimes save these wild species and places. It is through this event, that we celebrate you, as filmmakers, as scientists and advocates, as students and as conservation leaders. It is our greatest honor to receive your entries, your stories of the natural world. One by one, they can make a difference in the outcome.

The Call for Entries is now underway through the end of January 2013. The late deadline is February 8th. Preliminary Judging begins in February, Final Judging during the third week in March. If you would like to be considered for Final Judging, we are now accepting applications. There are openings for six Final Judges. While you must be able to get to Missoula at your own expense, once you arrive, we will host you royally for a full week and a complimentary Delegate Pass to the Festival is provided, should you return for IWFF April 27-May 4.

We now welcome your entries! Details Below:
