Blackfoot Telecommunications buys Bozeman-based Cutthroat
In a boon for growth, Blackfoot Telecommunications Group http://www.blackfoot.com/ announced Wednesday it will acquire Cutthroat Communications before the end of the year.
"It does approximately double the size of our company from a revenue standpoint and certainly greatly increases it from a geographic standpoint," said Bill Squires, chief executive officer of Blackfoot.
The Blackfoot family of companies includes Blackfoot Telephone Cooperative, Blackfoot Communications and TeleSphere Software Inc. Based in Missoula, Blackfoot offers "advanced telecommunications solutions" to customers in Montana and Idaho. Cutthroat, which will keep its name at least for the time being, is based in Bozeman, and its employees there and in Kalispell, Helena, Billings, Great Falls and Missoula will "join the Blackfoot team," according to a news release.
