Anonymous donor helps supply iPads for Missoula kindergartners – Free app lets parents create iPad games for their young kids

Give it a few weeks, and some of Missoula’s savviest technology wizards will be found in Julie Line’s kindergarten class at Paxson Elementary.

In a pilot program funded with $85,000 from an anonymous former Paxson parent, the school’s fifth grade, second grade, and one kindergarten class have been given their own brand-new individual iPads to use.

On Thursday, the 5-year-olds cracked open their high-tech learning tools for the first time with fearless abandon and joyful shrieks.

"It’s easy to get started, you just push a button," Noah Lofink announced to his 19 classmates.
