Tentative deal with Canadian firm may bring high-wage jobs to Great Falls, Montana

A Canadian company may bring 300 high-paying jobs to Great Falls in a tentative deal reached Wednesday, a development official announced Thursday at a meeting in the Civic Center.

"It all came together very rapidly," said Brett Doney, president of the Great Falls Development Authority http://www.gfdevelopment.org/ . "We’re very excited. We just really like the company."

Doney declined to name the company, saying the business is publicly traded and still needs to consult with shareholders before the business name is revealed.

He also did not specify exactly what the company will manufacture.

"They’re involved in the construction industry," Doney said. "The overall project would be at least $15 million."
