University of Montana and Montana Tech make Princeton Review list of best colleges

The University of Montana and Montana Tech are listed by the Princeton Review as standing among the nation’s best colleges this year, the only Montana institutions to make the coveted list.

The Princeton Review compares various schools in a number of categories and ranks the nation’s top schools, sometimes in suspect areas such as "lots of beer" and "reefer madness."

"We tally lists of the top 20 schools in 62 categories based entirely on what students at these schools tell us about their campus experience," said Robert Franek, the Princeton Review’s senior vice president. "Our goal is not to crown one college ‘best’ overall, but to help applicants find and get into the college best for them."
