Law school grads looking harder and farther for jobs after school

Great Falls native Jim Zadick experienced the worst and the best of job seeking as a law school student and recent graduate.

Two years ago, during his second year of law school at Virginia-based College of William and Mary, Zadick sent out dozens of applications for summer employment in Washington D.C., but found "the competition was so incredibly difficult that I got discouraged and began to wonder why I’d entered law school."

"I was told by one firm I was one of several hundred applicants, and they would interview only 20 and maybe hire three," he recalled. "The process seemed cold and impersonal."
