Avmax, Great Falls, Montana are a good fit

A boisterous gathering of Great Falls business and civic leaders were thrilled to learn in December 2005 that the community reeled in a big economic development catch.

Officials with Avmax http://www.avmax.ca/ , a Calgary-based aviation company, announced they selected the Great Falls airport over several other U.S. sites for a facility at which as many as 70 aircraft technicians could be doing required maintenance checks and repairs on mid-sized regional jets by spring. An additional 200 jobs could be added within five years, they added.

"No industry has gone through more upheaval in recent years than the airline industry," said Great Falls Development Authority President Bret Doney. "We’ve been very impressed by the way the Avmax corporation as a whole has figured out ways to prosper and grow, while many aviation companies have not done well."
