Montana Career Opportunity – High Tech Marketing Adjunct Instructor – The University of Montana

Adjunct Instructor: The University of Montana is hiring an Adjunct Instructor for the School of Business Administration, Fall semester 2012 (August 23-December 14) to teach one section of High Tech Marketing Course. The class meets Tuesday/Thursday, 2:10-3:30 beginning August 28 through December 14.

Course content: This course focuses on how marketing strategies and programs must be modified and adapted for the high-tech environment. Marketing high-technology products and innovations is not the same as marketing more traditional products and services. For example, the marketing of a familiar product, say Coca-Cola, is very different from marketing products with which customers may be unfamiliar, say, the Amazon Kindle which is an electronic book reader, voice recognition software, or scientific inventions. Information and communications technologies (both hardware and software), bio-tech, B2B and B2C, Web technologies, and other innovations are examples of the domain of this class. The course is NOT focused on online/social media marketing (although certainly, these tools will be covered as a piece of the relevant domain).
