Senator Tester announces national business leaders for Bozeman business workshop on July 13.

Jobs forum will feature leaders from Blackstone Group and Path

Senator Jon Tester today announced that two nationally renowned business leaders will attend his upcoming small business workshop in Bozeman on this Friday, July 13.

Tester’s workshop will feature Tony James, president of the financial services company Blackstone Group, and Dave Morin, co-founder and CEO of Path, an award-winning social networking site. James and Morin will join other local, state and national business leaders to discuss new opportunities for entrepreneurs to access capital as a result of Tester’s recently passed JOBS Act and will highlight the experiences of many successful Montana entrepreneurs.

Tester’s Friday workshop will be held in Gaines Hall at Montana State University.

Morin is a Helena native. Before starting Path, he worked at Apple and Facebook. In 2011, Bloomberg Businessweek listed Morin as one of the top 30 under 30 Best Young Tech Entrepreneurs.

"Tony and Dave are the top of the class in their industries, and they know a thing or two about starting businesses," Tester said. "I know everyone at the workshop will learn a lot about what makes Montana such a great place to work and start a business."

Tester’s Bozeman workshop builds on the success of his 11 previous small business workshops held across Montana. More than 2,000 Montana companies and individuals have attended the sessions.
