Montana Ambassador Summer 2012 Newsletter

It is my privilege to serve as the Montana
Ambassador President for 2012. My term was
launched with a fantastic start during the Montana
Ambassador 2012 Annual Meeting. The Billings
Chapter hosted a tremendous event, one that will be very hard to top.

Thanks to the Co-Chairs, Lisa Perry and Dr. Joe Michels, for a job
exceedingly well done.
One of my goals as President is to visit each and every Montana
Ambassador Chapter. Since my service as 2nd V.P., then 1st V.P.
and now as President, I have heard that Chapters need assistance in
finding their role in their perspective region/community. It is my goal to
assist each chapter in finding the course for their particular area.

Thus far, I have attended two Chapter meetings: Missoula and
Helena. Missoula attendees explored outreach opportunities with
Missoula Economic Partners. The Helena Chapter learned more
about A World in Motion and the Chapter could play in improving
education opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
for Montana students. Montana Ambassadors are members with
leadership skills and excellent connections that can accomplish
anything they set out to do.

Several weeks ago, I attended a forum hosted by Headwaters
Economics in which their study revealed that Montana’s quality of life
has a direct connection to attracting a higher quality of workforce to
our state. Montana Ambassadors will continue to learn more as
Headwaters Economics reveals next steps.

Finally, do plan to
attend the 8th Annual
Business Open on
August 16th. Be sure
to attend the
Meet-n-Greet at
Fairmont Hot Springs
the evening of August
15th. The Old Works is
a fabulous venue for
great networking,
wonderful food, and a
lot of fun. Put together
a team and rain or
shine, your time will be
well spent.

President:
JEFF LAVERDIERE
